Baru Seeds- they look like peanuts, but they’re not

  • they’re a legume seed from Brazil
  • low in carbs with a good amount of protein, with a 2:1 protein-carb ratio
  • complete essential and non-essential amino acid profile
  • low GI
  • appropriate for a paleo, keto, vegetarian or vegan lifestyle
  • they contain antixoidants, fibre and minerals
  • From Baru Baron’s website (Baru seed comapny)- “Baru seeds are a well-kept secret from the South American Cerrado, the richest savanna in the world- threatened by deforestation, it is a vital part of the complex Amazon rainforest water cycle. The international awareness of these seeds may be decisive for the future of the Cerrado and the Amazon.”
