The Classic Canadian Caesar

This classic Canadian favourite is a fun cocktail with some kick! I use 2 key players in this recipe: sauerkraut juice and wasabi powder.

Bake some bacon in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes. Keep this tray, with the bacon grease if you’re making my Poutine recipe. 

Juice 1/2 lemon and place the juice in a bowl.

Sit a glass or mug into the lemon juice and let it hang out there while you make the rimmer.

For the rimmer you will need:

1 tsp sea salt

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1/8th tsp celery seeds

A pinch or 2 of wasabi powder

Mix the ingredients together and dip your glass or mug into the bowl to create the perfect rimmer.

Add the remaining lemon juice to the glass, top with some ice.

Add 1.5oz vodka

1 tsp worcestershire sauce

A few splashes of smoked habanero sauce

1 tbsp of sauerkraut juice

Gently top with some garnish such as bacon, celery and olives.
